Objective: To understand some similarities between Emirati and Cambodian Culture

Task: Compare Cambodian and Emirati values

Highlight in yellow all the values that are similar to Emirati values

Comparison between Emirati – Cambodian cultures

In the UAE the all families have a book , this book is the data about the family. The family boasts of the family book. The Cambodia people respect each authors however  Emiratis respect everyone in the country and our low in the UAE tell us to respect every one walk in the UAE. In the UAE if you visit someone in his house and you want to sit with him inside you must respect him when you sit inside so you leave your shoes outside and go in. If you had a problem in the you UAE people will help you and if you had a mistake they will say to you it’s okay and don’t wary. In any country if you see someone strange then it will take time to know about him and recognize him. Every one sick he must go to the hospital to seek treatment but some of them uses to take his described from the old men or women because they know some medicines and herbs that they help us to be good.

 Gap year

As I see about the Gap videos that I live relax, simple and my life become comfort. The gap year mean that I take a relax for my brain. Some people take the benefits of  the gap year to travel to anther countries to see their  cities or traditional. Now a days  The Emiratis didn’t take the gap year and they along study to finish the studying early but I think they in the future they will take I gap year to play or visit some countries to know the traditional of it however some students travel to the country which they will study in it to see the nature and the schools in it because it will be the new life for him and he must acclimate for it. Most of the Emiratis study in anther countries so they travel to it before they start study in it to know how is it like. I want to take the gap year if I don’t want to continue my studying  but I don’t like it because I’ll be late for my studying and I ‘ll waste my days with playing or traveling. I want to travel to Australia because I studied in it before about two months   and I enjoy the weather and the people. I want to see the homestay there because I stay in a family and I love them. I think the gap year is good for the students who will travel to study in anther county.



reflection # 3 - stereotyping & Bias

Introduction

Stereotype is defining as that some specific and individual idea or thought about a person or society and in reality thought is differ from imagination. Many evidence of presence in the society about the different theories and perceptions of Stereotyping.    

Being a human means having emotions and feelings, and Stereotype is the most common attribute to characterize a society or person, group. Research on stereotype explains that people express their thoughts and ideas about other instead apply any process and concept of examination.

Stereotyping is a problem

The most important role source of the information is play to create the negative and positive thought about a society or an individual person. Stereotyping narrows down the perception and thinking of an individual towards other people.

Creates Differences in Society

Stereotype is act as vinous and spreads rapidly corrupting the thought of even the honest people. It creates hurdles in the growth of the society and an organization.

Stereotyping helps to understand differences

There are three social functions of stereotyping namely, to Explain, to justify and to differentiate between groups in society. It creates cohesion in the group and prevents to fall apart. Its binds the groups member together and eliminate any differences in the perception among themselves.

Conclusion

We can conclude that even though stereotype is necessary part of society it can be very big hurdle in the proper development of society. Stereotyping needs to be contained and should be exercised under limits. Lack of stereotype will free up the minds of the people making them able see the reality rather than shallow perceptions which are old and baseless.

d.      Discrimination :Any action that denies opportunities to a person on the basis of their race, gender, age, religion.

1-     If you find someone from Egypt honest and work actively or hard you will say all Egyptians are honest and work hard .

2-     Treat white people in way butter than you treatment to the black people.

3-     If I have a company and I want a secretary I will chose someone I know or my friends.

4-     In some company the discriminations are for girls who work there.

Discrimination

One day when I was 16 years old. I was in the school with my friends. In the school the teachers were  not Emiratis but they are arrivals. All teachers were  good with us in every subject. In the midterms we had an exams and we want to pass in the exams but we were good in all subjects except one subject we failed  in it so we talk with the teacher to help us but he don’t want to help us. After the exam all students are failed so we went and broke his car because he didn’t help us.
