reflection # 3 - stereotyping & Bias

Introduction

Stereotype is defining as that some specific and individual idea or thought about a person or society and in reality thought is differ from imagination. Many evidence of presence in the society about the different theories and perceptions of Stereotyping.    
Being a human means having emotions and feelings, and Stereotype is the most common attribute to characterize a society or person, group. Research on stereotype explains that people express their thoughts and ideas about other instead apply any process and concept of examination.

Stereotyping is a problem

The most important role source of the information is play to create the negative and positive thought about a society or an individual person. Stereotyping narrows down the perception and thinking of an individual towards other people.

Creates Differences in Society

Stereotype is act as vinous and spreads rapidly corrupting the thought of even the honest people. It creates hurdles in the growth of the society and an organization.

Stereotyping helps to understand differences

There are three social functions of stereotyping namely, to Explain, to justify and to differentiate between groups in society. It creates cohesion in the group and prevents to fall apart. Its binds the groups member together and eliminate any differences in the perception among themselves.

Conclusion

We can conclude that even though stereotype is necessary part of society it can be very big hurdle in the proper development of society. Stereotyping needs to be contained and should be exercised under limits. Lack of stereotype will free up the minds of the people making them able see the reality rather than shallow perceptions which are old and baseless.
